Locally Enhanced Electric Field Treatment of E. coli: TEM, FT-IR and Raman Spectrometry Study

In this paper, we report the study of low-voltage locally enhanced electric field treatment (LEEFT) E. coli bacteria via TEM analysis and FT-IR Raman spectrometry. The formation pores was confirmed by TEM, which revealed membrane rupture along with precipitates in cell volume, photoluminescence spectra propidium iodide dye. LEEFT results alternation DNA RNA structure, indicated change its α-helical β-helical forms, decrease narrowing nucleic acids-related IR peaks.
